The mission of vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies is to support individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful careers and sustained career advancement. VRTAC was established to assist state VR agencies in advancing this mission.

As agencies strengthen partnerships with employers, expand direct engagement with businesses, and increase employment placement activities, many encounter common challenges. These include sustaining long‑term employer relationships, strengthening business acumen among professional staff, and effectively responding to the evolving workforce needs of employers.

To address these challenges, VRTAC encourages agencies to explore two complementary areas of focus:

  • Strengthening System Capacity for Strategic Employer Engagement - Coming soon
  • Advancing Collaborative Business Engagement Across the Workforce System - Coming soon
